Background:
The image of Sri Sutho, the Naga Lord, is in emerald green with golden heads. Known for compassion toward those who honor him, he is revered for granting wishes that do not harm others. This deity, known as “Lord Pu Sri Sutho” and “Lady Ya Sri Pathumma,” is a powerful figure, symbolized by a nine-headed Naga.
A sacred consecration ceremony took place at the Shrine of Lord Pu Sri Sutho, Nakarin City, Kham Chanot, during which miraculous clouds appeared above the Mekong River, symbolizing the presence of Lord Pu Sri Sutho.
Additional ceremonies included blessings in the middle of the Mekong River, at the sacred site of Phra That Lanong in Nong Khai, and a major ritual to open the Underwater Realm at the shrine in Kham Chanot, Ban Dung District, Udon Thani Province. Several revered monks participated, including Luang Pu Nak Nakhin Nakavaro of Wat Nitasan Lai, Udon Thani, and monks from Laos.
